Naeem Khan to Be Honored by Museum of the Metropolis of New York

Naeem Khan can be honored June 7 on the Spring Symposium & Luncheon at Museum of the Metropolis of New York.
As a part of the occasion, Kahn will sit down for a dialog with Fern Mallis.
The Metropolis of Design Award, created by the Museum of the Metropolis of New York, was inaugurated in 2015 to acknowledge those that have made New York the design capital of the world and who encourage future generations of designers to convey their skills to New York Metropolis.
Previous recipients have included Norma Kamali, Cynthia Rowley, Elizabeth Graziolo, Peter Marino, Jacques Grange, Ralph Pucci, Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan.
Khan was born and raised in Mumbai and cultivated a information of textiles from his grandfather and father, each of whom designed intricate clothes worn by Indian royal households. He moved to the U.S. as a youngster and began his profession at 20 years previous as an apprentice to Halston. He launched his eponymous assortment in 2003 and started promoting such retailers as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
